Antonio Hidalgo was on hand to present the charity event which featured performances from various groups who joined the charity event held every year in the municipality.

Shops and local associations collaborated in the charity event with gifts that were raffled among all participants.

The local mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, encouraged citizens to "continue to cooperate actively with the Association to fight the disease and help patients and their families in the municipality."

Puerto Lumbreras charity dinner last night hosted by the Cancer Association attended by about 300 lumbrerenses.

Among those attending were members of the Local Assembly of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Puerto Lumbreras, headed by its president, Ana M ª Cerrillo, representatives of different associations and businesses in Puerto Lumbreras, and members of the government team.

The gala was presented by the popular TV presenter Antonio Hidalgo, who wanted to add to the fundraising event as volunteers.

In addition, the Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, participated in the evening and encouraged all attendees to "continue to work with the association to fight this disease."

For his part, the president of the local board of the AECC, Ana Maria Cerrillo, thanked the various entities consistory and their collaboration with this event every year adds more of lumbrerenses.

During the charity dinner were drawn over 200 gifts were donated by businesses and local associations.

Additionally, the evening featured a performance by the flamenco fusion group 'Sounds of the South', and was presented with a plaque of honor to two members of the association in recognition of his work, Antonia Martínez and Díaz Modestina.

With the celebration of the traditional charity dinner, the Association Against Cancer raises funds that will be used to endow the association of more means and aids for people with this disease.
