The coordinator of IU-Greens in the Region of Murcia, José Antonio Pujante, today demanded the Government's Office to hold open the Parador de Puerto Lumbreras.

Pujante has opted for commissioning all hostel facilities and, if this is not carried out, has called for the establishment therein of a second national school hostels.

He noted that the floods last September 28 was a "serious blow" to the economy of Puerto Lumbreras, especially in the primary sector, so keeping open the inn would be a way to compensate.

"The PP is not only not necessary aid intended to recover the municipality, but also wants to close the hostel, which further hamper economic recovery in Puerto Lumbreras," he concluded.
