The Director General of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, along with the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, visited this week the refurbishment and fitting being developed in the rural road network in the town.
The new initiatives include an investment of around 250,000 euros in the first phase, to improve rural roads and condition of the district-Esparragal Station, which were damaged by the floods last September 28.
Specifically, we are developing improvement works in the firm and widening of roads and asphalting and paving over two miles of rural roads.
The proceedings are being conducted in the way of Los Perez (1150 meters), Road-The Los Berengueles Adelfas (1,000 meters), and the level crossing road-house Mirones (1,500 meters).
On the other hand, are also renovating access from rural roads to farms and ranches.
The investments involved in the design of these roads are funded by the Autonomous Community, in partnership with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
These new works complement emergency actions that have been developed during the last two months to ensure safety on rural roads that were damaged as a result of the flood.
The City Council and the Community created works to restore communications and improve the transit of all paths-Esparragal Station, Puerto Inside Gonar and Cabezo de la Jara.
