The regional coordinator UPyD, Rafael Sanchez, praised the close of Parador de Puerto Lumbreras as the consequence of the lack of investment by all levels of government.

Sanchez noted that these investments would have been able to ensure that the parador continue its activity or school is reformulated as hostels, with the objective of being a hospitality training center qualified Paradores Nacionales.
