The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras participates in the European project partnerships with municipalities and governments of other European countries such as Germany, Belgium, and England.
The project's main objective is to analyze Plan-View and implement specific measures to promote the employment of unemployed persons over 50 years.
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras participates in the European project-View Plan (Planning an Adapted Network in Vocational Education of Elder Workseekers), along with other partner countries such as Germany, Belgium and England.
Specifically, this project aims to help educators, social workers and employment counselors to identify and solve the problems of unemployed people aged 50 years and promote the employability of this group are unemployed.
In this sense, the Councillor for Employment, Salvadora Martinez, together with the Councillor for Education, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and a technician of the consistory specialized in this area, have attended the first workshop in the framework of the Plan-View , which took place in Germany.
Thus, during this meeting, partner countries have formed working groups to analyze the situation of older unemployed.
In addition, participating members have made a brief presentation of the situation in which this group is, and have also analyzed the impact of training in people over 50 years.
Note that this project has emerged in order to identify and study the problems encountered by workers over 50 years to enter the labor market.
To do so, municipalities and European associations develop a research team which analyzed the positive and negative factors influencing the selection processes of unemployed over 50 years.
Also, after an initial phase of study and research, specific measures will be planned and awareness campaigns to enhance access older unemployed labor.
To this end, the project will work for 2 years directly with trainers, social workers, employment counselors and companies with which will run an action plan with concrete measures that seek to reinstate the work to more people unemployed.
Also, through Plan-View will build a European Global Network to oversee the implementation of measures to promote access to the labor market of people over 50 years.
Among the planned measures, the creation of a module-workshop for unemployed older people who will work with the motivation of the unemployed through lifelong learning processes and techniques to address specific job search processes.
In addition, awareness campaigns are planned with companies, the design of a manual of good practices for older workers, as well as strategic training plans for people over 50 years, among other measures.
Finally, the Councillor for Employment, Salvadora Martinez, explained that "with the participation of Puerto Lumbreras in this new European project, we will continue working to improve access for people who encounter greater difficulties."
