We have developed a comprehensive program of activities and educational workshops organized by the departments of pedagogical and didactic IES Nogalte Rambla to celebrate the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas.
Students have created a Food Solidarity Bank under the slogan "Solidarity is helping others" with which food donated to Social Services to help people who need it most.
On the occasion of the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas (January 28), patron of Secondary Education, the Institute of Nogalte Rambla de Puerto Lumbreras has organized an extensive program of activities and workshops in which students have participated in the center.
New this year, the Department of Philosophy (Religion) with students of the Centre have created a Food Solidarity Bank under the slogan "Solidarity is helping others."
So, have collected all kinds of vegetables and canned goods to be donated to the City Council social services for delivery to needy families in the municipality.
The day started at 9:30 am with a workshop in Pasapalabra Center Library aimed at high school students.
Later, at 10:00 different workshops have begun as a mathematical gymkhana, workshop brooches, trivial and karaoke contest.
As in previous years, have been many and varied workshops that have been made, among which have highlighted the traditional taste of pancakes or sports competitions.
In the Department of Natural Sciences has conducted a workshop "Science explosive" and the Department of Social Sciences an activity with the theme "Growing with Europe".
Have also been carried out many activities such as English desserts, dancing, internet shop, chess, contest typing tournament championship badminton and climbing.
In the area of ​​sports, as a novelty, students of the new training cycle Driving Sports Physical Activities in the Natural Environment organized a circuit of mountain biking skill.
The day ended with the expected football match student-teachers.
Attendance at the conference has been massive, almost all students have enrolled in any of the different tests.
The Community Educational Institute expressed his "satisfaction" with this educational and leisure time that has become a hallmark and tradition to the center.
