Equality Councillor explained that "we must coordinate our efforts to protect and assist victims affected by gender violence effectively and immediately."
Puerto Lumbreras City Council unanimously approved the Municipal Council in creating a specific budget to meet emergencies related to victims of domestic violence.
Thus, the session along with the Directorate General of Domestic Violence Prevention, Youth, Legal Protection and Reform minor works from all councils, and especially through the Department of Equality, in its commitment to the development of integrated actions that seek to eradicate gender violence through prevention and intervention with victims.
In this sense, the Councillor for Equal Opportunity, Catalina Gázquez, said that "since the session continue coordinating our efforts to protect and assist victims affected by gender violence effectively and immediately."
Finally, note that the Local Security Board has recently approved the creation of a Coordination Committee Against Gender Violence with which they promote policies to eradicate gender violence by coordinating law enforcement.
In this sense, the councilor explained that "this Coordination Board will improve early detection of cases of domestic violence and protection of victims."
