The Municipal Council has unanimously approved a motion proposed by the Mayor of the council membership to Social Housing Fund affected by evictions.
The agreement provides new measures to improve the situation of those families who are in a situation of social problems related to access to housing.
The evicted families who qualify will have access to homes rented for between 150 and 400 euros.
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has joined the Social Housing Fund affected by evictions created by the Central Government.
To do this, the Municipal Council has unanimously approved an urgent motion proposed by the Mayor with the consistory joins the Agreement signed between the Government of the Nation, the banks and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities for Creating Social Funds Homes.
In this sense, the Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, has expressed "satisfaction with the agreement that we intend to strengthen the support we provide to needy families in these special moments of difficulty."
Thus, explained that "in addition to information, advice, support and help people at risk of becoming homeless, the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras provide other social services to help overcome their plight."
Thus, the Social Housing Fund will begin on March 31, and around the country will join a total of 6,000 homes owned by financial institutions.
Thus, through the agreement may provide housing for families who have been evicted, paying rent of between 150 and 400 euros, with a ceiling of 30% of the total net income of the family unit.
The lease duration is two years, renewable for one more.
Finally, housing applicants must meet certain requirements: that the eviction occurred from January 1, 2008, following a request for execution by default on a loan, initiated by the same entity credit which is the social background of houses.
Furthermore, all the household income may not exceed the limit of three times the minimum wage, and no member may have owned a home or in usufruct.
