The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Education and Culture has launched under the slogan 'Come to the library and tell it' a program of recreational and educational activities aimed at younger children, among which is the competition 'Detective Library'.
The competition in which more than 200 schools in five local primary school course has been developed in the Municipal Library Network of Puerto Lumbreras, who has extensive programming as games, contests, plays, storytelling or participatory readings, encouraging the habit of reading among children in the locality.
Thus, through the contest 'Detective Library', the students have learned in a fun and entertaining, the services offered by public libraries and their operation.
Specifically, the contest has been the formulation of general knowledge questions to different teams of boys and girls, who have sought the answers from the hundreds of books from libraries, with the winning group the first to finish with the correct answers.
