The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Sustainable Development, and in collaboration with The General Group, Caixa Bank and Public Water Utility in the Region of Murcia, has organized a program of activities to mark the World Environment Day Environment.
Specifically, this morning took place in the Secondary School Rambla Nogalte an educational talk on the management and impact of waste, which was attended by over fifty students of 3 º ESO.
During the talk, which was given by a specialist of Grupo La Generala, students have learned how to separate waste properly and the importance of recycling.
In addition, attendees have known how to perform the selective collection system for waste management and operation of the Ecoparks.
Councillor for Sustainable Development, Salvadora Martinez, stated that "the objective of this activity is to inform and involve the educational community in reducing the generation of all types of waste, as well as their adequate separation."
Also during the day, it has become the prize of I Contest Outreach on Environmental Issues, framed in the subject Contemporary Sciences for the Bachelor of 1.
Thus, the winners have been Andrés López Egea, Gloria Lopez Valero, Aguera Valeria Rivero, Angel Fernández Tamayo, every 1 ° B Baccalaureate.
Notably, the activities to mark the World Environment Day will continue this afternoon at the Reina Sofia public park recycling workshops for children, which will be made by reusing cardboard crafts to create custom notebooks, key chains, picture frames, etc..
In addition, also held the awards ceremony of the second Tales Contest on Environment at 18:00 hours at the public park Reina Sofia.
