The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Culture, launched under the slogan 'Come to the library and tell it' a program of recreational and educational activities aimed at younger children, among which is the contest 'Detectives Library. 'Contest in which more than 200 students in the fifth year of the schools in the municipality, was developed in the Municipal Library Network of Puerto Lumbreras, with the aim of promoting the habit of reading in the smallest .
Moreover, the extensive program offered by the Department of Culture, through libraries, also watched storytelling, theater, participatory reading sessions, among other activities.
Councillor for Culture, Maribel Martinez, has delivered to the winners of a diploma and entry bond for municipal pool.
Thus, 33 children from 5th grade of primary school were awarded as "Library Detective".
Through this competition, the students have learned in a fun and entertaining services offered by public libraries and their operation.
Specifically, the contest has been the formulation of general knowledge questions to different teams of boys and girls, who sought the answers from the hundreds of books from libraries, with the winning group the first to finish with the correct answers.
At the same time, children have learned to look for information in the union catalog of libraries in the Region of Murcia.
