The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez and CEO of General of Cultural Assets, Francisco Gimenez, have overseen the actions that are being developed to adapt the cultural tourist and the Casa del Cura who suffered damage from floods last September.

La Casa del Cura is currently a manor house built in the nineteenth century which has more than 1,300 square meters and is part of the regional architectural heritage.
The building, located in an area of ​​recent urban expansion towards the hamlet of La Station-Esparragal, has a structure typical rural farmhouse that was restored in collaboration with the Autonomous Region for its conversion into a public space that is intended to promoting tourism, history and culture of the town.
On September 28 the cultural and tourism suffered damage to their gardens and buildings because of the flood, and next week is scheduled to end performances adaptation and remodeling to reopen during the month of July.
Similarly, last year was created in its facilities a Ethnographic Center offers permanent exhibitions on agricultural and pastoral traditions of the municipality over its history, and is also open next month.
In addition, more than 7,000 square meters of land from the Casa del Cura have been enabled with new landscaped areas and a public park in which is installed a coffee bar.
It also includes museological rooms to visit the historic building in which a sample is exposed to publicize ethnographic deep-rooted traditions of the municipality.
