The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras held on Thursday August 1st a special meeting of the Municipal Council for the election and inauguration of the new mayor of the municipality.

The plenary will be chaired by Dolores Arenas Canton, Second Deputy Mayor.

First voting shall mayoral candidates through secret ballot by ballot.

At the end we will proceed to count and communicate the result of the vote, resulting mayor candidate who obtains an absolute majority.

Thus, the President shall declare the elected Mayor who shall swear or office and receive the baton.

The plenary will be held at 20.00 in the hall of the Cultural Center of the town.
