The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, together with the Councillor for Children Schools, Catherine Gázquez, and the council works, Eliseo Sanchez, this morning visited the site of the new Children's Center "that will start the next academic 2013/2014 ".
Specifically, we are developing refurbishment works of the new facilities, improved playground and installation of equipment for commissioning.

This morning, the Mayor, Maria Angeles Tunisia, accompanied by the council works, Eliseo Sanchez, and the Councillor for Children Schools, Catherine Gázquez, have visited the site for the development of the new public kindergarten will open its doors next month and will offer educational project services PequeCultura of Puerto Lumbreras.
In this sense, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "'Pequecultura offered to all parents of the town a great opportunity to balance family and work life. Thus, the new center is located next to Sacred Heart CP, and has 800 square meters distributed on one floor, and an investment of EUR 500,000 through the region.
This new building, which is adapted to the social and educational needs of children aged 0-3 years has: six classrooms, a dining room, bedrooms, bathrooms, a playground, a multipurpose room, offices, kitchen and storage.
Also, the educational project, for the Municipal Nursery Network municipality includes numerous measures to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life of the parents.
Among the initiatives is the extension of hours in local nurseries, and the inclusion of 'Toy Library' in all centers, enabling service for children up to nine years, with shuttle service and pickup from school.
Learning a second language, the use of new technologies, and the application of new educational techniques are the cornerstones on which the City has made this great educational project which employs more than thirty professionals.
Also incorporated various educational activities such as the introduction of English as a second language, specific advice from a psychologist for counseling, or the implementation of a school for parents with training and collaboration with families to promote the educational process of children.
Similarly, early childhood education centers in the municipality offering free dining with menus created by nutritionists, outdoor areas for games and exercises, and various classrooms for the rest of the children.
"All new child care centers in the municipality are located and communicated with their respective schools. Through this reconciliation plan, the school's students can stay in the playroom of childcare to accommodate the schedules of working parents" says the Mayor.
