The Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, and the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, this week visited the premises and improvement of rural roads in the district Service Station-The Esparragal the municipality, which were damaged during the floods of September 2012.
There are eight rural roads totaling 8.5 kilometers, whose repair involves an investment of 488,000 euros to be financed by 75 percent by European funds EAFRD and whose execution time is four months.
The works in the first five paths, the Graveyard of the Murciano Rambla, the Espartal, the Old Way of Valencian, the Big House, and the Way of the viewer, will be complemented by the paving of the surface.
Meanwhile, in the past three roads, houses Pigeon; Chapel of the Child and Schools, the General Directorate of Irrigation and Rural Development, will consist of specific actions that the widening of the current platform in specific areas such as curves and narrowings and patching repair, in order to obtain a width of five meters.
This action is part of the specific plan of rehabilitation of rural roads damaged by floods for Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water during the presentation of the general budget of the Ministry for 2013.
