The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, together with the Councillor for Children Schools, Catherine Gázquez, and the council works, Eliseo Sanchez, have overseen the latest actions that are being developed for the implementation of the new Children's Centre.

Thus, the new center is located next to Sacred Heart CP, and has 800 square meters distributed on one floor, and an investment of EUR 500,000 through the region.
This new building, which is adapted to the social and educational needs of children aged 0-3 years has: six classrooms, a dining room, bedrooms, bathrooms, a playground, a multipurpose room, offices, kitchen and almacén.Asimismo, the educational project, for the Municipal Nursery Network municipality includes numerous measures to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life of the parents.
Among the initiatives is the extension of hours in local nurseries, and the inclusion of 'Toy Library' in all centers, enabling service for children up to nine years, with shuttle service and pickup from school.
