The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, and the Councillor for Education and Culture, Maribel Martinez, visited this morning to mark the start of the school year, the schools in which they have developed works of improvement and adaptation during the summer months.
The town of Puerto Lumbreras has started school this morning in its four schools in which they have enrolled 1,592 students in total and Primary Education, which represents an increase of 3.21% of the school population in the municipality.
So, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, together with the Councillor for Education and Culture, Maribel Martinez, visited all schools in the municipality in which this summer have developed works of improvement and adaptation.
In this regard, Tunisia has explained that "this year, the school in Puerto Lumbreras begins with improvements in all colleges, as well as room service and babysitting public next to each school."
It has pointed out that "education is established as a priority for the government team. During the last years we have improved and expanded all schools in Puerto Lumbreras".

The Center features 8 new educational classrooms with capacity for over 300 students, as well as an auditorium and library.

Grants for education
On the other hand, coinciding with the start of the school year, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "the City Council awarded to students residing in Puerto Lumbreras scholarships and financial aid for their education."
Thus, the council awards grants for school transport as for those students who daily travel to other municipalities to pursue their studies, either for studies of Bachelor, Vocational Training VET college, etc..
In addition, the City provides other assistance to the Grants and Scholarships Erasmus Leonardo providing monthly financial grants to students who perform this type of exchange.
