The Minister of Industry, Enterprise and Innovation, José Ballesta, the CEO of the Foundation Incyde, Javier Collado, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, Eusebio Abellán have formalized this morning the cooperation agreement with the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia.
The mayor explained that "with the construction and operation of the new business incubator will continue to contribute to the economic revitalization of our town".
Puerto Lumbreras will soon have a new business incubator.
To do so, the Minister of Industry, Business and Research, José Ballesta, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, the CEO of the Foundation INCYDE (Institute Cameral for the Creation and Enterprise Development), Javier Collado, and President of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, Eusebio Abellán, today signed a cooperation agreement specific to the creation of a business incubator designed to foster entrepreneurship in the municipality.
The event was also attended by the director of the Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia, Juan Hernandez.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "business incubators are an ideal structure to locate new businesses in their first steps and provide certain services tailored to the needs of each business project".
In addition, he noted that "in Puerto Lumbreras and have two incubators, one of them aimed at new entrepreneurs and one for women entrepreneurs who will run immediately, and through them we facilitate the development of business initiatives and contribute to the economic revitalization of our town ".
The aim of this agreement is to establish the lines of collaboration between the different parties signing to improve corporate governance through the creation of a business incubator, "which fosters entrepreneurship adapted to new technological and organizational structures."
Thus, the proposed creation of the Business Incubator in Puerto Lumbreras start running before December 2013, and ending before the first quarter of 2015.
Regarding the financing of the new nursery, note that the Foundation will allocate ERDF aid INCYDE consisting € 800,000, which represents 80% of the total investment of one million euros.
The rest of the investment will be in charge of the City.
In this regard, the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras asked to participate in the draft ERDF funds available for the creation of nurseries.
Once INCYDE Foundation has verified compliance with the selection criteria, approved by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, has formally decided to grant aid to run through this agreement.
In addition, it will create a Joint Monitoring Committee to ensure compliance with this agreement.
This Committee shall consist of the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, director of INFO in the Region of Murcia, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras and CEO of INCYDE.
