The distinction, awarded by the Tourism Institute of Spain (Turespaña) and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), recognizes the work of lumbrerenses companies to optimize and improve the quality of services provided by the municipality.
Coinciding with the celebration of World Tourism Day, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, has delivered the hallmarks of quality tourism to four integrated companies in the Integrated System for Spanish Tourism Quality in Destinations (SCTE).
Puerto Lumbreras Four companies have been recognized with the distinctive Tourism Quality awarded by the Institute of Tourism of Spain (Turespaña) and the Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, and the Councillor for Tourism and Culture, Maribel Martinez, have made delivery of the hallmarks of quality tourism companies Hotel Riscal, Falconry Eagles Sun, Travel Mercury and Cultural Center Casa de los Elves.
In this sense, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, said that "the City Council have made a commitment to tourism as a source of economic development in our municipality."
Also explained that "recognizes the distinctive work carried out by our company to provide quality tourism services".
Thus, it has become distinctive delivery of four of the 12 companies participating in the Integrated Quality System Spanish Tourist Destinations (SCTE) in Puerto Lumbreras became the ninth to Travel to the Region of Murcia, and with private companies to work alongside management to optimize their travel services.
Tunisia has explained that "with the participation of Puerto Lumbreras in the project SICTED optimize and improve all tourist services that are provided in our town to increase the satisfaction of tourists visiting the town".
Thus, through SICTED project to improve quality of tourist destinations are unified quality standards of the services offered in Puerto Lumbreras through specialized technical advice to all companies directly or indirectly related to the tourism sector.
It is also working on improving services through training plans and advice for tourism businesses.
In addition, the project offers many advantages for business and tourist services of the municipality, as improvements in internal management, technical assistance, and increased equipment qualification.
In total there are 12 Puerto Lumbreras tourism companies which have joined the project so far SICTED.
