The council, through the Department of Education, provides annual scholarships to students from the municipality to subsidize transportation to different schools.
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Education has awarded annual scholarships for school transport.
Thus, young students have received scholarships from the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia and the Councillor for Education and Culture, Maribel Martinez, in a ceremony held in the Municipal Library.
In this sense, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "the council delivers these scholarships annually to help the young students of the town you require commuting to get to their schools."
Thus, the initiative provides students with assistance that is provided in addition to other grants to regional or state level.
Among the young fellows, are vocational students, Language School, Schools, Universities, and even students of the conservatory.
11 students have been beneficiaries who qualify orders in the call, as studying in schools located in a locality other than Puerto Lumbreras, not entitled to free transport if studying in schools in Puerto Lumbreras, have ended course to which the scholarship grant is allocated, a resident in Puerto Lumbreras and proof of registration at the site during the course referred to the scholarship, commuting to school, as well as enjoying any scholarship or other State aid for the same purpose.
