The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras will launch next March, a day center for people with disabilities under age 65 for dependent, with a total of 30 seats, of which the Institute of Social Action Murciano hire 10.
The CEO of Persons with Disabilities of IMAS, John Brown, accompanied by the mayor of the town, Maria Angeles Tunisia, today visited the facility, located on the first floor of the Comprehensive Care Center for Persons with Disabilities of Puerto Lumbreras, which already Works Child Development and Early Intervention Center.
Brown explained that the forecast date for the opening of this center (1 March), which will be managed by the Foundation Diagram met, the IMAS earmark 91,043 euros to hiring ten places, until December 31, 2014.
Early Intervention
Moreover, the IMAS has allocated 108,033 euros to the city of Puerto Lumbreras for the provision of early intervention, between January 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014, and, according to the CEO of People with Disabilities , shall be extended from that date.
The main objective of early intervention, which in Puerto Lumbreras is staffed by five professionals, is that children have disturbances in their development or at risk of suffering received, following a model that considers the biopsychosocial aspects, everything from preventive care and slope can enhance their capacity for development and welfare, allowing its integration into the family and social environment, and personal autonomy.
