The City Council has boosted XI Awareness Campaign Against Truancy in primary and secondary education in the municipality.
Under the slogan "Do not let your left you empty chair" has launched this campaign that includes various talks given by an agent of the local police, a psychologist and a social worker.
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the departments of Education, Social Policy and Public Safety, has launched the Campaign Against Truancy eleventh in line with the measures envisaged in the Municipal Plan for Prevention and School Monitoring, aimed at pupils in primary and secondary schools in Puerto Lumbreras education.
Thus, under the slogan "Do not let your chair you is empty" has launched this campaign that includes various talks given by members of the local police in Puerto Lumbreras, as well as the coordinator of the Municipal School Program Truancy Center Social Services and psychologist specializing in this area.
Specifically, it talks about participatory truancy that are aimed at students from 340 high school 1st IES Nogalte Rambla and 6th primary education in public schools in the municipality.
Councillor for Education, Maribel Martinez, explained that "this campaign we aim to prevent municipal truancy and inform young people of the negative effects of not attending class."
In addition, the councilor stated that "through these talks to students in educational and social resource in the world available to children and their families are reported as truancy is not only an educational problem but also social , in which we must all work together to involve us and help. "
