The Department of Equal Opportunities, in collaboration with women's organizations in the municipality, organized various workshops and sports and cultural initiatives throughout the day which was developed in the Peak la Jara.
The lumbrerenses women made visits to new hiking trails Cabezo la Jara and the Astronomical Center and Nature Interpretation Centre.

The town of Puerto Lumbreras has hosted a day of living in which nearly 200 local women coinciding with the 'Women's Month'.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, and the Councillor for Equal Opportunities, Lina Gázquez, joined in the day that featured several workshops in which nearly 200 women participated.
In this sense, M ª Ángeles Tunisia noted that this is "an initiative designed for all women of the village and organized in collaboration with all of our women's associations to celebrate the Day of Working Women."
Also, the day was a meal in which the municipality dishes were tasted.
Women also participated throughout the day in various workshops and hiking trails.
In addition, the psychologist devoted Bernabé Tierno made the presentation "Personal Growth for Women," and the play Alfar "Cool Fire" was performed.
The day concluded with a concert by singer Marcos Galindo La Voz program participant.
In conclusion, M ª Ángeles Tunisia recalled that during the entire month of March, "the Department of Equality launches a program for women that includes more than 60 cultural, sports and recreational initiatives. All activities take place at the Center for Women offering new spaces, and further wherein women's associations are located in our town. "
