The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Equal Opportunities, Health and Children, has launched the "by relating in +" program for teenage girls in order to promote healthy relationships between young people and prevent toxic relationships teen dating.
Specifically, this program aimed at girls aged between 12 and 18, consists of 8 sessions with group dynamics in which a psychologist provide the necessary tools to detect conflict in relationships, family and friends .
Also during the workshop, participants will develop skills in communication, conflict resolution and improved self-esteem.
Councillor for Equality, Catalina Gázquez, explained that "this activity is carried out in order to promote a more positive attitude and develop healthy, equal relationships among young adolescents."
Importantly, the workshops will be taught by psychologist CAVI (Specialty Care Center for Women Victims of Violence) at the Center for Women and will be combined with dance therapy sessions.
Councillor for Equal Opportunities has explained that "The City in collaboration with schools in the municipality and autonomous region carried out this program for prevention-intervention with young people through the Centers Services for Women Victims of Violence in order to detect cases of young girls who are or may be in toxic relationships.
