Wednesday April 30, 2014 Puerto Lumbreras celebrates traditional Equine Cattle Fair, one of the oldest games in Spain, where he exhibited nearly 400 animals in a facility of 20,000 square meters.
The Fair will be held at the fairgrounds Regional Livestock Market during the weekend, particularly on Saturday May 3rd and Sunday May 4th and will remain open between 8:00 and 20:00, the entry of animals being scheduled for Friday, May 2 from 18:00 to 10:00 p.m..
Councilman Agriculture, Water and districts, José María Parra, accompanied by the Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maribel Martinez, this morning the activities to be undertaken in Equine Cattle Fair.
"Puerto Lumbreras two competitions held annually equines, asnar and mules, and other livestock exhibitions and equipment related to the horse world. With the May Fair, traditionally known as 'the big show', the town becomes the first to open the Spanish trade, and is the latest closing with 'the fair girl' held in December, "said the councilor, José María Parra.
During Cattle Fair, with a tradition of over 80 years, attendees can buy, sell or observe cattle exposed.
There is abundant participation of farmers in different parts of the Region of Murcia, Spain.
"The fair will be located in the County Cattle Market, one kilometer from the town towards the hamlet of Esparragal. Among the novelties of this 2013 edition, livestock exhibitions include material such as saddles, carriages or esparto work for encourage and promote the livestock craftsmanship among the thousands of attendees who come each year to the Fair, "Parra says.
Besides livestock exhibits, from the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has enabled a track where the horses to be exhibited.
The trade fair center will also feature exhibits and displays.
Parra has stated that "it is expected to receive a high number of people. At the fair, farmers can buy purebred animals and livestock mixed, but we also want to highlight the City Council that the Fair is an annual event that not only directed to farmers, but also a good opportunity for the general public know this world. "
