Director General Colleges, Luis Javier Lozano, accompanied by the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia and the Councillor for Education, Maribel Martinez, visited this morning the extent of the Official School of Languages ​​of the municipality.
The Mayor and the CEO of universities have maintained a working meeting in which they discussed various proposals for the future to improve language education in the town, which will be extended to the next course.
Director General Colleges, Luis Javier Lozano, accompanied by the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia and the Councillor for Education, Maribel Martinez, visited this morning the extent of the Official School of Languages ​​of the municipality, located in the old Sacred Heart Public School, for in situ facilities in which these language education and performance center, which expands its educational offerings for the next course are taught.
Also, following the visit to the extension of the Official School of Languages, the CEO of Universities and the Mayor have maintained a working meeting in which they discussed various proposals for the future to improve language education in the town.
Also during the meeting, the regional head of Universities and the Mayor of the town have talked about expanding the training offered by the extension of the Official Language School of the municipality for the next academic year 2014/2015, which will take official lessons language in four different English courses.
In this sense, M ª Ángeles Tunisia explained that "the extent of the Official Language School of the municipality has a hundred students in this course and, recently, the City has requested an extension of the training offer for to meet the high demand students who moved to other municipalities to pursue official language studies. "
Meanwhile, Luis Javier Lozano stressed that "the Official Schools offer the best training offered in languages, and are a key tool for improving language skills of the citizens of the Region."
Notably, during the 2013/2014 course are providing three different levels of English: Basic 1st level, 2nd level Basic Intermediate 2nd level.
Thus, for the academic year 2014/2015, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities will implement a new program, 1st Intermediate level for those students who already have knowledge of the language.
