The Director General of Vocational Training, Joaquin Buendia, and the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria de los Angeles Tunisia, have held a meeting this morning working in multinational lumbrerense Barberet & Blanc for their facilities and consider implementing future modules Dual Vocational Training in Puerto Lumbreras related floriculture sector.
Buendia stated that "from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities are working to expand and improve the regional supply of Dual FP in order to increase the chances of employability of students through more complete and competitive education."
In this case, Barberet & Blanc is an example of innovative enterprise that employs about 200 people over a year and has become one of the leading European producers and exporters of carnation.
During this visit both Joaquin Buendia as the mayor has seen firsthand the facilities of the company that includes a laboratory, where all varieties producing floriculture business are analyzed.
Barberet & Blanc is part of DNA Group Green International Group and has experience of over 50 years in the market for floriculture.
Currently, exports its carnation cuttings to over 60 countries and is a world leader in the sector thanks to the continued work done in R + D + i.
