The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras and CEO of Educational Quality, Innovation and Attention to Diversity have presented the diplomas to the 35 students who participated in the bilingual camp.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities organized this summer camp in English for students of 4th year of ESO of the Region of Murcia.
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, and CEO of Education Quality, Innovation and Attention to Diversity, Begoña Iniesta have closed the first camp bilingual summer for students in 4th year of ESO organized by the Autonomous Community which was held in Puerto Lumbreras.
This activity is included in the '+ Languages' initiative allows students to follow a language immersion program in developing oral skills in English as well as promote coexistence of students and communicative development.
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, said that "this summer 2014 Puerto Lumbreras has greatly increased educational offerings with new schools and summer camps in nurseries, sports facilities and the former Sacred Heart school, in addition to various camps Shelter in Cabeza de la Jara about music or languages, among others. "
Thus, the bilingual camp organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities in Puerto Lumbreras has had native monitors and students who have been active among which included a language course of 40 hours.
Have also been developed extracurricular activities such as visits to tourist spots in Puerto Lumbreras such as the Astronomical Observatory or Castle Nogalte and cultural tourist route of the cave houses.
The objective of this initiative is the development of communication in English, as this is a way for students to deepen and continue improving their English skills with activities outside the classroom in a fun learning environment ideal for the summer.

To apply for a place requirement was to have received from the previous year an average score of 8 to the same note in the subject of English.
For students with fewer resources, the Community has funded in its entirety this summer camp in English.
