The driver tried to escape arrest, first ignoring stoplights of the vehicle and then ran away on foot
The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, has proceeded to the arrest for an alleged crime against public health, the driver of a van inside which were found a total of 18 bales of hashish exceed 600 kilos.
The incident took place last Wednesday, the 16th, when under the Work Plan Monitoring and Control Strategy 2014, members of the Traffic Sector (Detachment Lorca) of the Meritorious performed a speed control on the A-91 at the height of Puerto Lumbreras, and detected a van that exceeded the speed limit.
Patrol Traffic Police responsible for service of the complaint triggered the optical and acoustic signals and stood behind the offending vehicle to stop, but the van driver ignored the instructions of the civil guards and took flight, coming off the motorway by circulating.
The patrol then track started on the van until he could be arrested on the N-340a, in the vicinity of Lorca, where the driver abandoned the vehicle and began fleeing on foot, being intercepted by the Civil Guard shortly after.
After returning to the place where he was abandoned van was found that within the vehicle 18 bales of hashish threw a total weight of 620 kilos were transported, so we proceeded to the arrest of a young Moroccan driver, 27 , who is credited with authorship of the alleged crime of drug trafficking.
The arrested drug and vehicle involved, and the proceedings have been brought before the Court number six in Lorca (Murcia).
