This activity was organized by the Astronomical Society of the Region of Murcia and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
More than 200 people attended last night the natural landscape Cabeza de la Jara to observe the fall of "Perseid" popularly known as' Star Rain "or" Tears of St. Lawrence ".
Thus, participants were able to comment opencast Perseid observations and Saturn and the Moon from telescopes on the esplanade of Youth Hostel Cabeza de la Jara.
Councillor for Tourism and Culture, Maribel Martinez, explained that "during this week have sidocasi 300 people who participated in the activities planned at the Astronomical Observatory of Cabeza de la Jara for stargazing."
Maribel Martinez has also encouraged citizens to participate in upcoming tours every Wednesday and Saturday in August and September from 22.00 "visits.
Notably, through the Department of Tourism and Culture of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has launched the campaign "Meet the Stars" which includes activities such as guided tours, lectures and seminars outdoors, and Wednesdays develops and Saturdays from July to September 15 from 22:00 at the Astronomical Observatory Cabeza de la Jara.
Finally, note queeste year the council has included the campaign 'Meet the Stars' in the new program to promote rural tourism that develops during the summer months, and includes visits to the Interpretation Centre and Nature Trail Astronomical located in the natural setting of Cabeza de la Jara, by the Astronomical Observatory.
