The summer drive-in took place in the forecourt of the Municipal Sports Complex
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Culture, has organized a program of leisure time including drive-performing summer for all ages and free admission to the esplanade of the Municipal Sports Centre.
Thus, the town last night hosted a session of the drive-in screening of the film "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug", attended by over a hundred people.
Through a large screen and from the vehicle itself, attendees could see the second of three parts in which is divided the novel "The Hobbit" by British writer JRR Tolkien for his film adaptation, tuning it through the radio.
"The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" continues the adventure of Bilbo Baggins on his journey with the wizard Gandalf and thirteen dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield in an epic quest to reclaim the Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
On their way they stumble upon many dangers and will face the fearsome dragon Smaug.
Notably, last week also saw the screening of the film "Gravity" at the drive-summer protagonizadaporGeorge ClooneyySandra Bullock.
This initiative is part of the "Cultural Nogalte" program that includes more than 50 cultural, tourist and entertainment activities during the summer months in the town.
