Puerto Lumbreras recovered this past weekend's rise to Cabeza de la Jara.
More specifically Ginés García Peña Ciclista, that I decided to organize the Challenge Ginés García, in tribute to former cyclist who gives name to their sporting association.
The climb to this short but tough mountain pass decided the outcome of a test in which first two turns to a practically flat circuit around the town in western Murcia were completed.
The best in this ascension to Cabeza de la Jara was totanero Mario Garcia, the team Mobel Monforte del Cid.
The senior champion Spain beat teammate Juan Manuel Camacho and Teofilo Jimenez, CC Bacons Bridge.
Garcia has been without doubt one of the great masters of the regional calendar in this second half of the year, with wins in most social tests.
In other categories of the day, Camacho victories in 30 Masters, Antonio Martínez (Vicma) in junior Jose Andreo (Vicma) in sub 23, David Valero (Vicma) in elite, Manuel Martinez (Costabike) in 30 and Jose Manuel Masters Baena (Filabres) in Mark Sanchez completed 50 master as better local and Jose Diego Jara was chosen most combative rider.
