Wednesday January 7, 2014. The City of Puerto Lumbreras and Parish Caritas have strengthened their collaboration to help with clothing, food and financial support to cover basic to the most disadvantaged families in Puerto Lumbreras during the Christmas Campaign needs.
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, along with the pastor of Iglesia Nuestra. Mrs. Virgen del Rosario and president of Caritas Parish, D. Serafin Campoy and volunteers responsible for Caritas of Puerto Lumbreras, Francisca Gázquez visited facilities Caritas from support and assistance is provided to needy families in the municipality.
Thus, throughout Christmas shares were up with a campaign of solidarity collected in different Christmas events in collaboration with local supermarkets achieving more than 3,000 kilos of food to strengthen the solidarity campaign the Christmas season.

Thus, the Social Services conducted a preliminary report on the status of the applicants of this type of aid is intended for the most disadvantaged families or at risk of social exclusion as are households with children or elderly dependents, ethnic minorities, people unable to work, children deprived of parental care, homeless or elderly people with lower pensions.
