The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and the city of Puerto Lumbreras working to enhance and improve the Adult Education Centre of the town, where there are 224 students enrolled, and centralize its facilities, together with the extension of the Official School Language, in the old Sacred Heart College.
The Director General of Vocational Training, Joaquín Buendía, and the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, held a meeting with the aim of optimizing and centralizing adult education services in the municipality.
At present, the Centre for Adult Education in Puerto Lumbreras offers more than a hundred educational programs 'on-line' through the Aula Mentor (an open-ended and flexible training), so that the new center will have a computer classroom for those students who wish to enroll but do not have the means to pursue such programs.
Among the training offered by the Centre also include studies of Secondary Education, the access to college for over 25 years, access to training courses and programs of basic and advanced Spanish courses for foreigners and as Technologies Information and Communication, among others.
Also, this year has expanded the curriculum to languages ​​English courses (level 1 and 2) and French (level 1).
The Center for Adult Education of Puerto Lumbreras will school the afternoon and night, allowing combine studies and work of pupils enrolled.
