The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, along with the company managing the Telecare Service in the town, Tunstall Televida, have launched an information campaign with tips to beat the heat during the summer months among older people.

In this regard, the council of Elders, Gloria Matilde García Caballero, explained that "with this campaign our intention is to raise awareness of our very special way over the harmful effects of heat and sun when temperatures recorded extreme values during the summer months.

Among the tips offered by this information campaign stresses the importance of hydration with water or juices, wear sunscreen adapted to the area of ​​the body, age and consume a lot of refreshing fruit.
The campaign also provides tips for the home, such as closing windows and curtains facades exposed to the sun during the day, showering frequently or stay in the coolest places home.
