The PP of Puerto Lumbreras propose, as the regional PP, that the emergency procedure is changed for processing the Electoral Reform Law of the Region of Murcia.
"We support reform that results in a modern electoral law, resulting from the analysis and study of experts and that enhances the closeness of public representatives with citizens," said Dolores Arenas.
Team Popular Party government of Puerto Lumbreras present a motion at the next Municipal Council in which they request the Regional Assembly to change the urgent procedure for the processing of the Reform of the Electoral Law of the Region of Murcia, by another procedure whose terms allow consult the opinion thereon of citizens and experts in the field.
In this regard, the Municipal People's Party spokesman, Dolores Arenas, explained that "advocate a reform of the electoral law in which all citizens have a say, as they are affected by this law."
Furthermore, Arenas added that "we support a reform that results in a modern electoral law, resulting from the analysis and study of experts and that enhances the closeness of public representatives with citizens".
Thus, in the motion submitted they will request the implementation mechanism and formalities necessary for citizens to be consulted on the reform of the Electoral Law of the Region of Murcia, as well as request the Regional Assembly Reform of the Electoral Law of the Region of Murcia does not come into force until it has not been paid opinion of citizens on this matter.
Finally, the motion will also involve the study and analysis of formulas to ensure representation of the different regions of Murcia in the Assembly, and their incorporation into the Reform of the Electoral Act.
