'Women with Root' will reach Puerto Lumbreras on Friday July 24 at 22.00 in the House of Healing with a concert that will tour Murcia folk songs.
'Women with root' is a comprehensive project that includes an audio publication recovering popular songs of women from the garden and countryside from the late nineteenth century to the present.
The summer program Nogalte Cultural Puerto Lumbreras will delve into the popular songs from the garden concert 'Women root' to be held in the town on Friday July 24 from 22.00.
Thus, the tourist area of ​​Casa del Cura will host this concert which will tour Murcia folk songs.
'Women with root' has its origin in the "Poets and cuadrilleras" I enjoyed last year in the Week of Women in the House of the Elves, and now expands the number of members and recovering repertoire folk songs Women from the garden and countryside from the late nineteenth century to the present.
The initial phase of this project was to collect folk songs of women from the garden and the countryside of Murcia and document different identity papers from Murcia popular culture for knowledge and value through interpretations by the women;

This field work conducted by María Luján (BA in Art History) and Thomas Garcia (doctor in Documentation) now reaches Puerto Lumbreras in concert form, part of the 2015 Cultural Nogalte;

This concert will participate lumbrerense Gea Ana Isabel Ponce (1991), former member of laCuadrilla de Henares (Lorca), granddaughter of Emilio Torrente and knows firsthand the musical styles of the Murcian tradition.
His love and study of Spanish poetry, make him well aware of it, having often participated in various poetry readings Poetry Classroom of the University of Murcia and in the poetry in which, at Christmas and summer, works the City Council.
Since 2014 it is part of the "Poets and Cuadrilleras" project.
