Sheila hand Maeda, the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has become this July on the main stage for the practice of martial art Aikido.
Martial practice that helps to harmonize the physical and mental development of the individual, to heal the relationship with the other and better understand the world in which we live.
Puerto Lumbreras has welcomed this July an unprecedented event: a 'Stage of aikiken and aikijo "directed by Marcella PAVIOT, 7th Dan Aikido and professor of elite AIKIDO RYU KOBAYASHI (KRA), a school of traditional Japanese Budo DNBK member of the prestigious and recognized by the Government and the Imperial House of Japan.
This woman is a student of André exception COGNARD, Soke teaching Master Hirokazu Kobayashi and founder of "l'Académie Autonome d'Aikido" (www.3aikido.org) based in Bourg-Argental (France).
With over forty years of experience practicing and teaching in East and West this nonviolent Martial Art without competition, Marcella PAVIOT wanted to visit Puerto Lumbreras to present here this martial practice based on the principles of balance of energies and respect for the neighbor, and whose training gives us the courage to unify body, heart and mind.
Of the four cardinal points of our neighboring country (Lyon, Nantes, Rouen and Aurillac), a group of twenty French adult men and women, adolescents and children, participated in the conference held in Puerto Lumbreras to follow courses PAVIOT Sensei, and practice in the most characteristic sites of the city such as the Castillo, Rambla de Nogalte, Casa del Cura and the Cabezo de la Jara.
A joined this adventure, among other participants, three brave lumbrerenses first discovered what Aikido weapons at work ken (sword) and jo (staff): Carmen Marin, Celestina Pérez and Juan Mateos.
Sheila Maeda, also aikidoka and organizer of the event, has been responsible for being the ambassador of our land to the visiting group and present the KRA for the first time in the region of Murcia.
Such has been the success of the stage that is already talk of an upcoming edition in 2016.
