PSOE: "History repeats itself after two years without solutions for tenants evicted" (05/08/2015)

The building on the corner Avda. Murcia Region Calle Pintor Jose Perez takes two years underpinned the tenants of the building and surrounding blocks evicted Street Jose Perez closed to traffic and the City without providing a solution to those affected.

Tenants of the buildings were evicted the month of August 2013, with them several businesses had to close or move away, they saw their lives changed in overnight, having to leave their homes and businesses without knowing when They could return to their daily lives.

After two years waiting for a solution by the City of Puerto Lumbreras, neighbors see how history repeats itself, a new leak shows that the problems in the area have not yet been solved.

Last Monday, just five meters from where it happened in 2013, the water turned to sprout from the ground.

This time the leak originated in the mains supply, they have been repeated problems in the area since pre-"Underground Traffic" works were performed.

The City Council refuses to take responsibility, but the locals have very clear which is the trigger for all these problems.

Years ago, the City realized works of removals and diversion of the waters of the ravine, all with the aim to clear the area to undertake the famous project of underground traffic.

Now it becomes clear that the works were not made with due guarantees, the City and developer being responsible for the construction claim no proper termination thereof.

The terrain of the area has become unstable after the earthworks carried out without due process, this has meant entering a vicious circle, to cede ground breaks in water supply and sanitation networks are produced, leaks become the ground unstable, and while the City and responsible look impassive.

Although not always been like that, months ago the building on the opposite side of the street also began to sag, cracks appearing between this and the adjacent, this time seeing immediate action by the City Council.

In a few days we proceeded to the injection of liquid cement on the ground, paralyzing their movement, all without ordering evictions or shoring, or roadblocks.

This double standard by the municipality has further irritated those affected neighbors, who see them as a given solution to their problems and not others, even more outrageous if possible to verify the origin of the problem is common to both cases.

From the Municipal Group they will continue to urge the City Council to a real and immediate solution for the area, solving the problem of affected tenants and the reopening of the Pintor Jose Perez both is hurting businesses in the area.
