The Mayor, accompanied by the Councillor for Education, visited the works that are being developed in public schools in the municipality.
Among the actions being carried out they include paint work, conditioning patios and areas shaded area and repair baseboards and window arrangement.
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the Councillor for Education, Sonia Lopez, and Councilman Works, Eliseo Sanchez, visited the works being carried out in all schools in the municipality with the aim of improving educational facilities for the start of the next school year 2015/2016.
In this sense, Maria Angeles Tunisia, explained that "the objective of this work is to improve the conditions and the state of the schools in the town for the benefit of students and teachers."
Besides the Mayor added that "these works, as in previous years, develop during the school holidays, to have the least possible impact on the daily life of schools."
Thus, the City of Puerto Lumbreras takes advantage of the summer months to carry out interventions to adapt, repair and maintenance in schools, updating the classrooms before the start of the new school year.
Among the actions that are taking place in schools in the municipality include improving access to classrooms and playgrounds and conditioning zones shaded area, replacement and repair of sockets and paving, demolition of curbs or arrangement of windows, shutters and doors, as well as works of plumbing, electricity, cleaning and disinfection, among others.
"With the repair and maintenance, students will find the significantly improved around school holidays," said the Mayor, Maria Angeles Tunisia.
