The Mayor and the Director General of Youth visited the facilities of the Youth Hostel Cabezo de la Jara and agreed to the implementation of the necessary procedures for the future inclusion of the hostel in the National Network of Youth Hostels.
Maria Angeles Tunisia said that "we want the Youth Hostel is integrated into the National Network of Shelters for young people from anywhere in the country to visit our town, visit our facilities and enjoy our environment."
During the working meeting also they addressed other issues such as the implementation of youth programs with new leisure, recreation and training.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, held a working meeting this morning with the CEO of Youth, Francisco Sanchez, in which they discussed various issues of interest to the municipality as the launch of new youth programs or Youth Hostel inclusion of Cabezo de la Jara National Network of Youth Hostels (RESET).
Thus, the Mayor and the Director General of Youth visited the facilities of the Youth Hostel Cabezo de la Jara in Puerto Lumbreras and agreed to the implementation of the necessary procedures for the future inclusion of the hostel in the National Network of Youth Hostels .
So, the mayor explained that "we want the Youth Hostel Cabezo de la Jara is integrated into the National Network of Shelters for young people from anywhere in the country to visit our town, visit our facilities and enjoy our environment."
In addition, Tunisia added that "with the inclusion in the network will leverage the use of our hostel and continue boosting the natural setting of Cabezo de la Jara".
In this regard it is noteworthy that the Puerto Lumbreras hostel, located in the hamlet of Cabezo de la Jara, has 80 beds in 4 bedrooms with bunk beds and communal services and 4 double rooms.
Also it has dining room, multipurpose room, pool, sports court for football, basketball and volleyball.
On the other hand, during the working meeting also they addressed other issues such as the implementation of youth programs with new leisure activities and free time.
Thus, the Mayor stressed that "we are working on the design and development of a new youth plan leisure activities such as trips and excursions, which will also include workshops and training courses to further improve the employability of young people in the municipality. "
After the meeting, the mayor and the general director of Youth has also visited the expansion work being done at the Astronomical Observatory, located next to the Youth Hostel.
