The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Association for the Integral Development Campodos, is promoting actions for landscape improvement Nogalte Castle and the creation of viewpoints that enhance the view of the historic district and municipality.
So, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, accompanied by Councilman Works, Eliseo Sanchez, and the Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maria Victoria Jerez, have overseen this morning the state of the works.
Thus, first, it has acted on the northern slope of Castle Nogalte, where outdoor space visually potential lies for being a strategic point within a historic site.
From this point, called Mirador de la Rambla Nogalte, you can have views of the Rambla own Nogalte passing through the town;

What you are doing in this action is the creation of a lookout area that adapts to the terrain of it and is taking on vegetation and street furniture to make it more attractive to stay and rest at this point will be installed.
Secondly, it is acting on the western slope at the point of meeting with the main access to the castle grounds.
This area is being remodeled acting on its slopes and repopulated with native species of the area as Esparto, Albardín or Labiatae, as well as pine vegetation types and jacarandas, which provide shade and rest areas for visitors height.
On this last point of the performance, you are creating the Mirador del Cabezo de la Jara, from which, as its name suggests, you can observe the natural setting Cabezo de la Jara, highest in the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras point, with a height of 1247 meters.
At this point matching the municipalities of Puerto Lumbreras, Velez Rubio and Huercal-Overa and are referred to as Site of Community Importance (L.IC.)
