Amel is an association of Businesswomen and Women Entrepreneurs lumbrerenses founded in 2013 with the aim of fostering and promoting the professional interests of companies led by women.

The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the president of the Association of Business Women and Entrepreneurs lumbrerenses (AMEL), Marian Gonzalez, have signed an agreement to promote business and commercial activity in the city.

Specifically, through this agreement, the AMEL Association will receive a grant of 3,000 euros for the implementation of actions of business promotion, trade promotion campaigns and training courses for traders, among other activities.

Thus, the Mayor has stated that "the City Council committed to promoting local trade and strongly support business associations in our municipality. To this end, various measures to the revitalization of business activity will continue launching new trade fairs and promotional campaigns and commercial broadcasting. "
