The regional government, in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, expand the CEIP Juan Antonio Lopez Alcaraz, with which it will provide to the school of a new line of primary education.
In recent years they have improved all schools in the municipality and are connected each to a public kindergarten.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, along with the Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, and members of their respective teams of government have held this morning a working meeting in which they discussed various topics educational matters such as extending the school Juan Antonio Lopez Alcaraz or the implementation of the bilingual program in all schools in the municipality.
In this sense, the Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Education and Universities, in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras is working to expand the public school Juan Antonio Lopez Alcaraz, with which it will provide the school with a new line primary education.
The work, which is funded by the ERDF, represents an investment of 508,144.11 euros and a lead time of three months to provide the center with the necessary classrooms to meet the demands of the educational community center within the strategy '+ Educational Quality + School Success' of the Ministry of Education.
Thus, the expansion involves the construction of an additional floor on the module kindergarten to the public school classrooms count with seven new Primary.
Most of the expansion will be allocated to primary classrooms, but will also have a meeting room for teachers, tutoring room, a store and corresponding toilets, including one for the disabled.
In this sense, the Mayor of the town, Maria Angeles Tunisia, explained that "in recent years we have developed works of improvement and expansion in the 4 schools in Puerto Lumbreras, significantly improving the facilities and achieving one of the best networks public schools in the region. "
So, Maria Angeles Tunisia thanked the regional government, specifically the Ministry of Education, this new integrated action to be held in the CEIP Juan Antonio Lopez Alcaraz, which aims to create a new line of primary education.
On the other hand, the Minister of Education and Universities has used the visit to the town to see the facilities of the nursery Buenaventura Romera and the new module public school kindergarten Assumption Jordan to this nursery is connected.
In this sense, the Mayor has stated that "with the launch of this new center, inaugurated last March and funded by the Ministry of Education, PequeCultura have completed the project that each school in the town is connected with nursery and through which offer more than 600 public places ".
Maria Angeles Tunisia stressed that "Puerto Lumbreras has improved its four public schools and adapting this new course of Rambla de Nogalte Institute and the public school Juan Antonio Lopez Alcaraz Bilingual Program at the Ministry of Education. Thus, 60 % of public schools of our town have already been added to the bilingual education ".
Finally, after the site visit, the Ministry of Education and Universities held its Board of Directors in the municipality.
Specifically, the Minister of Education, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, presided over the meeting which was held in the new Infant School Buenaventura Romera.
