The cave house three spaces that recreate what life was like for children and school in the 50s and 60s.
The Mayor explained that "with this new project we want to increase the educational content of Medina Resort Nogalte and enrich the cultural tour of our town with a new museum space".
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Association for the Integral Development Campodos, is carrying out various tasks for creating a new cave themed "The school in Medina Nogalte".
So, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maria Victoria Jerez, has overseen the development of the proceedings.
Specifically, the cave, being endowed with museum content, will house three spaces interconnected.
First, visitors will find a welcoming space with three panels that explain how life was like for children in the cave houses, how was your school and its games.
On the other hand, the second space will house the recreation of a college class and panels that explain how was teaching at that time and old photographs are displayed will be installed.
Thus, the third and final space is audiovisual and consist of two screens on which a comparison was made on images of how the school was in the 50s and 60s with the school today.
In this sense, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, explained that "with this new project we want to increase the educational content of Medina Resort Nogalte and enrich the cultural tour of our town with a new museum space".
Thus, this project is based on knowledge of the lifestyle, customs and traditions in the cave houses, the only visitable in the Region of Murcia.
Visitors will learn about the origins of the municipality through recreations of how was the environment and how people lived in the cave houses.
Thus, the Mayor explained that "the objective of this initiative is to incorporate a new stop on the cultural tour of the city and promote tourism development in our municipality."
Notably, this project is funded through the Campodos Association.
