The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Thomas Violante, met this morning at the Socio-Cultural Center House Elves to discuss various topics of great local interest.
In this regard, during the meeting, they discussed the actions being undertaken as well as the services provided and the facilities with which the municipality for seniors and people with disabilities, which are endowed with a total of 385,000 euros, contributions through the Instituto Murciano Social Action IMAS.

After completing the workshop, the Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, accompanied by the Mayor of the municipality, visited the facilities of the day center for the elderly of Puerto Lumbreras and has overseen its operation.
CENTER SENIORS DAY
The Center for Senior Day 41 assists users through concerted squares.
In its dependencies related services cover basic personal needs are offered, as well as socio-therapeutic and health of those most affected by varying degrees of dependency.
It notes that the building is built next to the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and has 800 square meters divided into two floors.
Thus, the center consists of a hall, dining room, occupational therapy, gerontogimnasia room, treatment room and geriatric bathrooms, among others.
Older children can also receive care service and personal development, psychology, occupational therapy, functional rehabilitation, maintenance programs in mental ability and memory, and individual intervention based on each person.
All this by a team of professionals consisting of 15 people.
