The hostel is located in the natural setting of Cabezo de la Jara and is included in the Catalogue of ecological focus areas of the Region of Murcia.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the City Council, has approved the implementation of the necessary arrangements to include the Youth Hostel Cabezo de la Jara in the Spanish Network of Youth Hostels (RESET).
