"The City Council remain committed to the development of new strategies and plans to promote job creation in the municipality," said the councilor.
Puerto Lumbreras has reduced its unemployment rate during the month of October with the creation of 35 new jobs.
Thus, the town continues with the marked downward trend in the unemployment rate which is now at 9.97%.
In this sense, the Councillor for Employment, Angela Morillas, explained that "we have some positive data, as the fall in unemployment in Puerto Lumbreras remains progressive."
In addition, the councilor added that "this is an encouraging figure that confirms the positive trend towards recovery. From City Hall we remain committed to the development of new strategies and plans to promote job creation in the municipality".
According to the latest data of the Regional Employment Service and Training, the unemployment rate in Puerto Lumbreras is 11 points below the national average, which stands at 21.18% according to the National Statistics Institute.
Thus, Angela Morillas stressed that "these results are the work being done by the City Council with initiatives that promote employment and entrepreneurship".
The councilor said that "we launched new services such as job counseling InfoEmpleo new point at the center of the town and new training schemes which have increased professional specialization and labor outputs lumbrerenses".
In addition, Angela Morillas has announced that "Puerto Lumbreras soon host a new job fair, aimed especially at young people, with new job opportunities."
To conclude, one of the measures to be undertaken in the municipality is building a nursery Cultural and Creative Enterprises before the end of the year, which will contribute to the revitalization of the productive fabric and will be a tool to support business start-ups .
