The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has launched the 'Personal employment pathways' (IPE) program with the objective of promoting employment in the municipality.
The program, held at the Youth Centre of the municipality, consists of different theoretical and practical training workshops to promote the development and specialization in the professional profile of citizens.
Thus, the Councillor for Employment, Angela Morillas, explained that "the objective of this program is to facilitate and promote the development of personal, social and work skills of the unemployed, placing them in a favorable position on the labor market" .
In addition, the councilor said that "this initiative is configured as a process aid and assistance, in which the new possibilities offered by information and communications technology are used."
Specifically, the Personal employment pathways created by the City Council distributed in 3 areas: social skills, job search and self-employment.
With this workshop attendees will develop skills to effectively use various skills, enhance strategic communication and increase motivation, reflect on the quality of staff work and expand the network.
On the other hand, in the field of self-employment, it motivates people to create new businesses and corporate culture is fostered.
Also in this workshop topics as emerging sectors, business plans, ways to start a business, grants and subsidies are addressed.
Furthermore, the theoretical and practical tools workshop for active job search, participants learn how to create your resume in different ways and to draft a letter, preparing job interviews and job search websites.
