From this Office to farmers on different steps to take with the administration and grants and subsidies for the agricultural sector it is reported.
This service offered by the Department of Agriculture and Water's main objective is promoting the development and specialization of the primary sector in the municipality, which represents over 55% of the local economy.
More than 400 people dedicated to agriculture in 2015 used the services of the Office of Information and Advice to Farmers and Ranchers of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, located in the municipal offices of the lumbrerense hamlet of La Station-Esparragal.
Specifically, this service offered by the Department of Agriculture, Water and districts whose main objective is to promote the development and specialization of the primary sector in the municipality, representing 55.6% of the workforce, becoming one of the main drivers of the local economy.
Also, with this service to farmers on different procedures are reported to perform with the administration, among which the registration of agricultural machinery in the ROME (Official Register of Agricultural Machinery), information and advice on grants, aid for the sector primary, improvement plans and aid for first installation.
Moreover, from the Information Office of specialization support, training and competitiveness of the agricultural sector of the municipality is paid.
In this sense, the Councillor for Agriculture, Water and districts, Jose Maria Parra, stressed that "the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras committed to the training of farmers with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the agricultural sector of the municipality ".
Thus, the Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Department of Employment and Training, a permanent program offers free courses for the agricultural sector including basic PPP handler is qualified and for livestock use, pruning olive, almond, fruit trees, citrus and vine, or animal welfare in pigs, ruminants and transportation, among others.
Finally, it notes that the City of Puerto Lumbreras has strengthened the service information and advice to farmers, through a collaboration agreement with ADEA-ASAJA, in which advice and individualized and free support is offered to farmers and farmers in the municipality with custom quotes.
